PERSPECTIVES OF PHOTOGRAPHY
I have been awakened by the touch of the suns first rays.
I have been to solitary places and found company within.
I have floated on air in lazy circles with eagles and angels.
I have seen wild things in the shadows, which to others were a mystery.
I have shattered the limits imposed by mortal eyes, and have seen every thread of Mother Natures gown.
My soul has become clear to me.
God loved me enough to allow my eyes the enjoyment to see beautiful pictures and the gift to capture the moment.
During my lifetime, I have had the privilege to travel all parts of the earth. Some for business and some for my love of photography. What started out as a hobby, turned into a passion, then professionalism and now into lecturing and teaching. Through it all, it is still a work in progress in search of the perfect image. My reward is not just being published, but seeing the smile of a young learned photographer with their first prize.
Now retired, I am a Trustee of the Winona State University Foundation. I lecture at Winona State University, and a Senior University Photographer and Photo Editor. Hanging out in the Department of Mass Communications with Dr. Cindy Killion, Dr Tom Grier, and Professor Jim Bowey is a great place to spend the day.
In years past my photography skills as a contract and freelance photographer allowed me to work for and be published with National Geographic, SI, NFL, MLB , USA Today, Gannet, and many others. Underwater Specialty filming was my passion.
I hope you enjoy the work of images contained in the galleries. As time permits, I will continue to add many years of work, so check back often.
